Welcome to Tweet
The richest man alive bought the town square, renamed it, and threw the bird away on his way out. Three years and a great deal of money later, people still say tweet. So we went back and picked up what he dropped, and rebuilt the square on the thing that got sold off first.
You scroll, and you can't tell what's real. The photo might not be a photo. The account picking a fight might not be a person. The number under the post might have been bought for forty dollars. The thing everyone is furious about today might not have happened.
So you built a workaround. You read the replies to find out if it's fake. You reverse-image search. You wait a day before believing anything big. You've assembled an entire private verification system inside your own head, and you run it thirty times a day, unpaid, on behalf of a company that could have built it for you.
That's the tax. Nobody ever named it. You've been paying it for years.
The internet doesn't have a content problem. It has a trust problem.
Those need different tools.
VERA and Trust OS are our long-term vision for building that trust into social media.
We believe people should have more control over what they see — and more transparency about the information in front of them. Stop asking what should be allowed. Start asking what can be shown. Every claim carries its evidence with it.
A trust score, out in the open, with sources you can click and a plain sentence about why. Not a verdict. A receipt. We're not the referee. We're the lights. Then comes the part no platform has ever handed over. The Trust Dial. You set your own threshold. Turn it up and the low-trust noise fades. Turn it all the way down and see everything, garbage included, if that's what you want. It's your feed. It was always supposed to be your feed.
None of this is live yet. For now what you get is the handle, the number, and the room. The trust signals and the Trust Dial arrive with the platform, and we will show you the Trust Dial when you can actually turn it.
An early illustration of the idea — you decide how much low-trust noise reaches your feed:
Hide posts below a trust score of…
Nobody gets banned. Nothing gets deleted. You just stop seeing the noise. That's freedom of speech, not freedom of reach.
Illustrative. Trust signals shown in the app may differ.
Posts carry trust signals, out in the open — it's the claim that's weighed, never the person.
You choose your threshold. Your dial, your call — not ours, not an algorithm's.
Liars lose the megaphone, not their voice. No bans. No martyrs.
We're opening the doors to the first Founders. Not everyone, not yet. $20 puts you in before the public, locks your handle, gets you a limited-edition badge on your profile, funds the build and the fight. When early access closes, Founder status closes with it.
In before the public. Your handle and your Founder number, #00001 and up. When early access closes, it doesn't open again.
Your $20 builds the platform and defends the name.
A real door keeps the bots out and keeps day one good, instead of a flood we can't serve.
You're not buying a product. You're funding the square you'll stand in.
$20 makes you a Founder, in before the public. $40 or more makes you a Fighter, funding the battle itself.
$20 · EARLY ACCESSIn before the public. Your handle, a badge with your number (#00001 and up), your place on the wall first. Founder status closes when early access does.
$40 OR MOREEverything a Founder gets, plus you're funding the fight itself and also receive the slingshot badge on your profile. Sleeves rolled up, ready for Goliath.
Freedom of speech, protected. Freedom of reach, earned. A square that's safe by default — where the rules apply to everyone, and where you, not an algorithm, hold the dial.
TWEET is being built as a trusted home for open conversation, for communities, creators, and real-time news. We're committed to protecting free expression while keeping the platform safe. We prohibit illegal content, child exploitation, threats of violence, harassment, scams, and other harmful conduct. Our policies and features will continue to evolve as the platform grows. Our full Constitution and Community Guidelines arrive with the platform.
On the things that are never allowed at any setting, including child endangerment, credible directed threats, non-consensual intimate imagery including synthetic, and content that is independently illegal, we act on reports reviewed by a person, and we are building detection behind that. We would rather tell you which is which than let a sentence imply we have finished.
Because that's the word that survived. Three years after the rebrand, and after a serious corporate effort to replace it, people still say tweet. It was never a company's word — it's what one person does when they say something. On 3 September 2026 a federal court declined to enjoin our use of the Tweet mark and the bird logo, finding we're likely to prove X Corp. abandoned both. So we took the name nobody ever stopped saying.
The ruling went both ways. The court granted X Corp.'s injunction as to its Twitter word marks, and we'll follow that order while the case proceeds to trial. It denied the motion as to the Tweet mark and the bird logo. We're not going to argue the rest of it on a website — the opinion is public, and we've published it with plain-English annotations so you can read it yourself.
No. Operation Bluebird, Inc. is not affiliated with X Corp. in any way, and never has been.
Nothing, except the name over the door. Your handle is your handle. Your founder number is your founder number. Your place in line is unchanged. If you have a question about your membership, write to members@bluebird.social and a person will answer you.
You do. We don't ban or delete anything. We score claims out in the open, with sources, and you set your own threshold. It's your dial, not our verdict.
Censorship removes things. We don't remove anything. Every post stays up, every account stays up, and if you turn your dial to zero you'll see all of it. What we changed is that lies stop traveling for free.
No. Any system that scores claims will get some wrong. That's why the sources are attached and the reasoning is visible, so you can catch us. We're promising openness and control, not omniscience. Anyone promising omniscience is selling something.
Not yet, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What's live today is the square and your place in it. The trust signals and the Trust Dial arrive with the platform. This site shows you an illustration of how the control works, not a screenshot of something finished. If you want to wait until it's real, wait. We'd rather have you later and honest than now and disappointed.
Because you're either the customer or the inventory. There's no third option, and the last twenty years picked one for you. Paying is how this place ends up answering to its members instead of ad buyers. It also keeps the bot farms out, which free never has.
Founder is $20. In before the public, your handle, your founder number (#00001 and up), and the Founder badge. Fighter is $40 or more. Everything a Founder gets, plus the Fighter badge, for the people who don't just show up, they stand up. Same square either way. Fighters are carrying more of it.
It's a lot compared to free. Free is what we're arguing with. This is early access to something being built right now, and the money goes into building it. If that's not what you want to spend twenty dollars on, we'd rather you waited.
No. It's a membership and a stake in something. Not equity, not shares, no financial return, no promises about the future value of anything. If that sounds like a lawyer wrote it, a lawyer did, and he's right.
It isn't the business. We're paid by members, which is the entire reason we don't need to sell what you do here.
A real payment method, a real charge behind every handle, and a score system that makes an army of fake accounts expensive and pointless. Not perfect. A great deal harder than free.
Fair question, and the honest answer is that everyone who built one of these promised they wouldn't. So don't take the promise. Watch what we're paid for. As long as our money comes from members and not advertisers, the incentive to manipulate your feed doesn't exist. The day that changes, you'll know, because you'll feel it before we announce it.
Early Access is open
There's no urgency here we can manufacture and no reason to. Either you've been waiting for someone to try this, or you haven't. If you have: pick your handle, take your number, and come help build the thing. There's only one #00001.
