Tweet Child Safety Standards

Effective October 12, 2026

Tweet is provided by Operation Bluebird Inc. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) throughout our service. For these standards, a child is anyone under 18, regardless of Tweet’s minimum account age or the local age of consent.

CSAM includes visual depictions of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including abusive photographs, videos, and unlawful digitally created or altered depictions. Our policy also prohibits the broader content and conduct described below.

Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use Tweet to create, upload, share, solicit, purchase, promote, or facilitate CSAM or the sexual abuse or exploitation of children. This prohibition covers posts, comments, profiles, messages, links, and every other part of the service.

Prohibited conduct includes grooming a child for sexual purposes; soliciting sexual images or sexual contact involving a child; sexualizing children; sextortion or threats involving a child’s intimate images; trafficking children for sexual exploitation; and directing others to content or services that facilitate these activities. We also prohibit sexual depictions of children that are generated or altered using AI, including synthetic or manipulated images, even where particular content falls outside a criminal definition of CSAM. A claim of consent, humor, artistic purpose, or private sharing does not excuse prohibited conduct.

How To Report a Concern

Use Tweet’s in-app reporting tools to report content, accounts, or child-safety concerns. You may also contact legal@tweet.app, including if you do not have an account. Give us the account name, content link or identifier, and a brief description so we can locate the concern. Do not download, screenshot, attach, or forward suspected CSAM. You do not need to prove that an offence occurred to report a concern.

If a child faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement. A report to Tweet is not a substitute for emergency assistance.

Tweet’s Promise

We prioritize child-safety reports. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM on Tweet, we promptly remove it or disable access to it. We may restrict or suspend accounts while reviewing a concern and terminate accounts responsible for child sexual abuse or exploitation. We preserve relevant information securely as required by law. Removal from the service does not prevent legally required preservation in restricted evidence storage.

We report apparent violations involving CSAM and other reportable child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by U.S. law, and to other competent authorities where applicable law requires. This includes confirmed CSAM and does not require us to wait for conclusive proof before making a legally required report. We cooperate with lawful investigations and take measures to prevent further abuse.

Contact

For child-safety reports or questions about these standards, contact legal@tweet.app. Reports are handled by our designated child-safety team. We may limit information about our response to protect children, preserve evidence, and comply with law.
